Interns

Internship Program Policies and Program Specific Training

HRI wants our interns to succeed and to receive an exceptional educational experience.  To that end, we provide direct support and plan internships appropriately.  The intern should aid in communication of the learning goals and objectives.

It is the student's responsibility to obtain authorization and approval for course credit with their learning institution.  HRI works with the intern, but ultimately meeting eligibility requirements, due dates, and learning objectives are the responsibility of the student.

Because interns have a commitment similar to that of an employee, a separate policy manual will be provided to help guide the intern in their assignment.  Interns are expected to report to work on time and conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner at all times.  Interns should call their supervisor if they are running late or are unable to come in for any reason.  Interns should keep a log of hours worked to ensure minimum time requirements for their institution have been met.

Failure to follow these guidelines may result in a poor performance evaluation and/or grade in the course.
