Community Service Hours

Thank you for your interest in completing your community service hours with HRI. We believe this will be an enriching and educational experience that will expose you to the human rights issues our clients face. HRI will take your major and areas of interest into consideration when assigning you a project. HRI offers opportunities for both law students and undergraduate students who are enrolled in coursework requiring the completion of community service hours.

HRI has filled all of its summer 2008 community service hour volunteer opportunities. We will begin accepting fall community service hours' applicants when classes resume in the fall.

Law Students

Eligibility Requirements
To complete your community service hours with HRI, please provide us with the following:
Submit an online application.
Signed and dated Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement and Authorization for Background Check. HRI conducts a mandatory background check on all interns. The background verification services are provided by VeriFYI at a cost to HRI of $7.30 per person screened. To help defray these costs, please make a donation to HRI in the amount of $7.30. Please do not send your check in to HRI until you have been selected for an internship.
Current resume (recommended to assist us in assignment placement).
