Attorney, Asylum Program 
Sunil R. Varghese is the Asylum Program Attorney at HRI where he focuses on direct and pro bono representation of asylum seekers and asylees.
Sunil received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center where he earned a Certificate in Refugees & Humanitarian Emergencies from Georgetown's Institute for the Study of International Migration. He also served as a staff member and editor of the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal and as Professor T. Alexander Aleinikoff's research assistant for a casebook on Forced Migration Law & Policy. Prior to joining HRI, Sunil worked at a law firm in New York City focusing on the Real Estate and Immigration practice areas.
